1303 Systems talk about Vidispine
This is a post in our on-going series of guest blog post with presentations from our partners. First our is Chris, founder of 1303 Systems based in St Louis, Missouri.
Although my formal education was in audio and music production, the majority of my professional experience during the last decade has been in information technology. I formed 1303 Systems to bridge the gap between creative needs and information technology (IT) systems.
We assist clients in sports, broadcast, news and Fortune-500 organisations to create custom media workflows that enable them to tell their compelling stories in the most efficient way possible.
Our unique blend of creative and technology experiences set us apart and drives our desire to find the next thought leaders as well as the next great technologies. We take pride in being the IT experts that understand how creatives need to work. We also understand that as technology progresses, production departments and enterprise technologies will continue to merge into highly standardized IT infrastructures. In 2012, we were introduced to Vidispine, who was founded on the very same vision.
As internet bandwidth increases and video systems become IT infrastructure, we’re looking to cloud providers like Microsoft to leverage Azure to create the next generation of video workflow. Microsoft understands the enterprise IT world, and Azure is a simple extension of an organisation’s existing on-premise infrastructure. Azure’s on-demand scalability is a important feature for many of our clients. If a video team has a large project, we can utilize Azure to dynamically grow services as needed.
I believe we live in an exciting time for video technology. We have reached a juncture where today’s software and hardware technologies can provide a truly collaborative platform that is both agile and dynamic.
We are building the next generation of video workflow and asset management; one where we can take the best of technology and blend it into something powerful and easy to use.
If you have a project involving workflow, storage, or asset management we would love to discuss how we can partner with your team to deliver the best, most compelling solution available today.
